Moving Earth to Get to the Top
Catalyst, an Atlanta based business magazine, dedicated its December issue to highlight some successful entrepreneurs from Atlanta . Among these entrepreneurs was Guiomar Obregon, CEO of Precision 2000, Inc. Catalyst, under the title "Moving Earth to Get to the Top", wrote regarding the beginning of Precision 2000, Inc. when Guiomar and her husband, Carlos Sanchez worked from the kitchen table through 2004 when the company had $6,000,000 million in revenues. Precision 2000, Inc. is growing and expecting to double its revenues this year. Precision 2000, Inc. is looking for success day to day as Guiomar Obregon says "success may be right around the corner, but if you don't keep pushing in that direction, you won't ever get there".

Welcome New Employees
2005 began with new people at Precision 2000, Inc. To reinforce our work team one office engineer, one field engineer, and one accountant were hired. Mauricio Lancheros the new accountant is an economist and has wide experience on accounting and audits. Marqus McDuffie is an Atlanten and an engineer from Georgia Tech. He is our new office engineer and he is the link between operations and administration. Finally, Oscar Corredor is our new field engineer. He earned his civil engineer degree in 2004 from Escuela Colombiana de Ingenieria in Bogota , Colombia . Currently, Oscar is working at a calming traffic project at the Lindbergh area with the City of Atlanta . Precision's team wants to welcome our three new companions. Good luck.

Events and Celebrations.
Precision 2000, Inc. was a sponsor and participated as a prime contractor with an information booth on “Women Doing Business with the City of Atlanta, 2005”. Organized by the Atlanta commission on women. This event was looking for female business enterprises (FBE) which want to work with the City of Atlanta as subcontractors and reach the 17% FBE outsourcing goal set by the City . On this way, Precision 2000, Inc pursues its goal to support minority companies as a Hispanic woman owned company.
Our booth was visited by many companies looking for work with the City of Atlanta and wanting to partner with us. It was pleasant to see the city's commitment regarding minority groups and we hope growing minorities such as Woman and Hispanic work with the City of Atlanta more often after this event.
7th Anniversary Celebration
One more time, Precision 2000, Inc. celebrated its anniversary this past May.On this vacation, it was the 7th anniversary. For that reason, administrative and operation employees shared a great moment at Bochicas' room, the new conference and receptions room. At the meeting, the employees enjoyed some cheese tables and red wine. Finally, pictures were taken to record our history and for fun.

New Projects
Starting 2005, Precision 2000, Inc. begins two new projects with the City of Atlanta. They are East Atlanta Village Streetscape
and Lindbergh Drive and Peachtree Hills Avenue. Traffic Calming & Sidewalk Project. East Atlanta Village project will provide streetscape improvements along Flat Shoals Avenue, from Metropolitan Avenue to Steokeswood Avenue. The project will include the replacement of sidewalks and curbs, the installation of painted crosswalks, street lights, trees and specialty paving. The
second project improves public areas for pedestrians and residents of Lindbergh Drive and Peachtree Hills Avenue. The purpose of this project is to serve for traffic calming of that area.The project consists in demolition and installation of new sidewalks, curbs, crosswalks, landscaping, and handicapped ramps among other things. The most exciting part of this project is the decorative concrete area which includes 2,800 square feet-area at the crossing of Peachtree Hills Avenue and Virginia Place with a stone texture, geometric engraved designs, and terra-cotta colors. The stamped concrete also included 12,000 square feet of crosswalks, 7,000 square feet of sidewalks, and 6,500 square feet of crossings stamped with brick and slate patterns.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Peachtree Hills project was on Saturday, April 16, 2005 and among the community leaders and participants was honorable Shirley Franklin, the Atlanta mayor who led the ceremony.
